Gravity Quiz 2 - Gravity Anomaly Shapes

In the RFB you are asked to design a gravity survey to detect an underground tunnel. The numbers in the rules down the left side of the table refer to tunnel parameters as follows:

  1. Density Contrast
  2. Tunnel Radius
  3. Tunnel Depth

For each of the situations described by the rules, indicate whether and how the amplitude of the gravity anomaly will change and whether the shape of the gravity anomaly will change.
