Magnetic Anomaly Over a Dike

This Java script will produce synthetic magnetic anomalies over a buried dike. If there is nothing between the two horizontal lines shown below, you have a browser that does not support Java. In this case, you need to upgrade your Web browser to one that supports Java, such as Netscape 4 or Explorer 4.

You can use this script to design a magnetic survey for the project described in the request for bid. The dike is indicated by the gray box shown on this page. You can vary the depth of the dike by clicking with the mouse on the top edge of the dike and dragging it to a new depth. You can vary the width of the dike by clicking with the mouse on either side of the dike and dragging it to a new width. Clicking and dragging on either top corner of the dike.

Survey parameters and susceptibility can be altered via the control frame that should have popped up when you loaded this page. Although I originally scaled this frame to the correct size, I've discovered that different browsers handle these frames differently. So, you may have to rescale this frame to see everything. Do this by clicking and dragging one of the bottom corners of the frame.
