Introduction:
The teaching of Geophysics and Geology has been a very significant part of my working life. I have mounted some courseware for reference by students through the Web, and also to hotlink to other teaching resources related to my courses. Be aware that I have now retired, so these materials will not be updated in future. I'm happy to respond to questions where possible, however.

Summary:
I was fully or partly responsible for the following subjects, but only the Applied Geophysics course is still part of my (sessional duties. Details about many of them can be located through the Science Faculty Handbook. If there is a hotlink, there will be some kind of courseware available at the other end. If there is no link I might still have courseware available - just ask!
- Applied Geophysics - a new subject in 1998, under continual development even in 2002 to make sure it still works!

- Geology (Engineering Course) - Introductory Geology for Civil Engineers.
- Tectonics - second-year Geology, for which I contribute some material on magnetic data and its interpretation
- Theory for Gravity and Magnetic Exploration - A fourth-year short course mainly revolving around Fourier Transform methods and applications, and extending from the third-year course. Some notes are available.
- Modelling and Inversion - A fourth-year short course introducing techniques of (mainly) linear inversion in Geophysics
- Analysis of Regional Geophysical Data - I contribute some background theoretical material to this fourth-year short course directed at airborne magnetic data interpretation.
- Continuum Mechanics and Waves - A second-year Physics subject, now withdrawn. I contributed mainly Seismology.
- Gravity and Magnetic Field Geophysics - A third-year subject, now withdrawn, for intending Geophysicists (contact me for information about notes).
- Electrical and Electromagnetic Field Geophysics - A third-year subject, now withdrawn, for intending Geophysicists (contact me for information about notes).
- Seismic Exploration - A third-year subject, now withdrawn, for intending Geophysicists (contact me for information about notes).
- Physical Environment - an overview subject for Science Students. I was the non-teaching coordinator of this subject - except that now and then I did give a lecture!
