These two conferences will be presented back-to-back at the University College of the University of Melbourne, Australia, from November 29 to December 3, 2004. The 8th Australasian Environmental Isotope Conference is the latest in a long-running series of conferences dedicated to the application of stable and radiogenic isotopes to studies of environmental processes. The Australasian Hydrogeology Research Conference aims to bring together groundwater researchers from diverse backgrounds. By holding the conferences together, the synergies between the two fields may be better exploited. We are committed to providing a reasonably priced pair of conferences with the view of permitting students and researchers on limited funds to contribute.

This conference will address current research into hydrogeology in both natural and contaminated systems. Topics include

The Conferences will be held at University College at the University of Melbourne. This is a residential college with excellent conference facilities, good accommodation, and lounges and outdoor areas for informal interactions. It is located just to the north of the University of Melbourne in easy reach of the major railway station, arterial roads, and airports. While this is city-based, it offers a tranquil collegiate setting ideal for the conferences. There is sufficient, comfortable, affordable accommodation at University College for all delegates; however, there are also local hotels/motels that can be booked if desired. All meals will be provided at University College as part of the conferences.
