Priestley Cup 2007

Sports Centre, Melbourne University
5:00pm, Thursday November 22nd, 2007

The 2007 Priestley Cup soccer tournament is to be held on Thursday, November 22nd, 2007 at the Melbourne University Sports Centre. The Priestley Cup is an annual round robin soccer tournament held between the Bureau of Meteorology, CSIRO MAR, Melbourne University and Monash University.

Rules & Conditions:
- Teams are required to have 6 players on the field, one goalkeeper and 5 outfielders. There is no limit to the number of substitutes you may have.
- The tournament will consist of 3 games of 2x15 minutes.
- Standard FIFA rules apply, except there will be no offside.
- We have volunteer referees, please respect all decisions and their decision is final.
- Teams may have unlimited substitutions, however substitutions may only be made during a break in play with the consent of the referee.
- Goalkeepers may be substituted only at half time or after a goal is scored.
- The surface is synthetic, so boots will not be necessary - runners or indoor soccer shoes are fine. It's just been resurfaced but may cause grazes if you fall heavily. Goalkeepers are advised to wear track pants and maybe long sleeves to protect themselves.

Team Contacts and colours: (please wear a t-shirt with your appropriate team colour - none can be supplied on the day)

Monash - Ailie Gallant
Melbourne - Fabian Kohlmann
CSIRO - Tony Rafter
Bureau of Met - Greg Roff / Blair Trewin

Please Note:
- The Priestley Cup is always a great, fun occasion - dissent or unfair rough play will not be tolerated and would ruin the night for everybody. Don't be that person!
- Teams should organise half time oranges or drinks to prevent players cramping up.

Location: Sports Centre, University of Melbourne (hockey pitch - centre of the aths track (Melways Ref. 2B F5)).
